Consider looking for a healthy work environment. A healthy work environment creates an opportunity for greater productivity, joy and fulfillment. What are some elements of a healthy work environment? Mutual respect, honesty and open dialogue.
PIXAR, the animated movie company that created “Toy Story,” “Finding Nemo,” “Cars,” etc. is a great example of a company who allows the free expression of thoughts, feelings and ideas, in a mutually respectful environment. Their result - profound and consistent excellence. If you want to grow from good to great, consider the importance of finding a healthy place to work. Your work environment does affect you. Make sure you do your best to make good choices. Know what to look for and keep your eyes and ears open for clues. Be observant and check out your potential new employer. Can they offer you your best environment to grow, and contribute your best potential?
Consider a company that fosters moderate and appropriate self-expression and exchange of thoughts, ideas and feelings. This creates a sense of safety, a must for healthy invigorating and productive teamwork.
Consider the importance of finding a healthy work environment as you look for your new job/position. Consider the wisdom of Pearl S. Buck when she said, “To find joy in work is to discover the fountain of youth.”
Develop these healthy skills in yourself too. It is one way to pave your way to your better future.
