Are You Ready for Your Next Position?

Are You Wondering How to Manage Change?

By Sandy Prock M.Ed., JCTC, Co-Owner of www.ExpertResume.com

Today, while waiting for my husband to run a few of his errands, I read “Think Better – an Innovator’s Guide to Productive Thinking” by Tim Hurson. Tim talks about how we all hate change, even when we need it most. So how do you meet change and make your way to a new and better future? Imagination. Simple as that, yet it does take work. Imagine every detail of your new idea job.

  • What are your duties?
  • Who are you colleagues?
  • Who is reporting to you?
  • What type of company hired you?
  • What is the environment you are working in?
  • What do you do when you first arrive?
  • What are meetings like?
  • How does each step of your day feel?
  • How does it look?
  • What are the projects and challenges you face?
  • Imagine in detail all these factors and more.
  • Use all of your senses. The more senses you use, the more effective your active imagination.

What moves you forward? Motivation. What motivates you? Energy. What kind of energy? Passion and desire. You must see and feel your future. Then your future can pull you forward.

Discover your ideal job. Imagine your ideal job. Fuel your motivation with precise images. Experience your dream job. Go for it. Don’t hold back. Let your imagination soar. Passion and desire fuels your motivation and moves you far past your natural inertia. Most people do not enjoy change. Be the one who moves forward anyway.

Make sure your resume, cover letter and other job search documents are professional, well written and stand out from the crowd. They must pop!

Catch your passion and fire up the engines of your imagination, see and experience your new ideal job and get moving toward your new fantastic job.

Bob and I wish you the best year ever in your career development. There is hope in the air. Catch the wave and go for it!

If you have any questions about your resume, cover letters, or other job search documents, feel free to call Bob.
