Are you visible on the Internet in places like LinkedIn.com for potential employers to view your resume? Do you have a well-written profile on LinkedIn.com? Are you selling your talents, skills and abilities? Are you maximizing your Internet presence and potential? Are you "LinkedIn"? Do you have a clear, concise and well-written LinkedIn profile?
The Internet and LinkedIn.com is the place you want to be when you look for jobs in this economic climate and with the changes in the way employers look for new employees. Be visible when employers look for someone just like you. With an Internet presence, including LinkedIn.com you can connect with potential employers in your sleep - literally. Companies can access your Internet LinkedIn information 24 hours a day. In addition to your own daily full time efforts looking for work, consider utilizing the Internet to sell and represent you 24 hours a day.
During these economic times, it is imperative that you lead yourself into a new position. Yes, sometimes this is “easier said than done,” but with the help of the Internet and well-written documents, you have some great allies. What a great time to have some hard working Internet allies in your corner working for you!
Knowing something is challenging, and taking on the challenge, like a daily full time job search, will build your job search skills and lead you to your new job.
Take charge of what potential employers see and read about you. It is a well-known fact that many employers use the Internet to look for new employees (just like you). Make sure you are “LinkedIn”. Be in charge of what potential employers see and read about you. Shine.
In addition to other Internet resources, like Monster.com, Indeed.com, doing your own legwork, networking with friends, family, cold calls, and attending meetings etc, consider utilizing LinkedIn.com. Consider creating a LinkedIn.com account and make yourself more visible. Work with LinkedIn.com, make connections, and seek recommendations. Work it, work it, and work it. An employer is looking for you. Be found.
In addition, remember it has never been more important than now, in these economic times, to have a polished and well-written resume, cover letter and other top notch job search documents.
Bob and I wish you the best in your job search. Reach your goals and land the job you want.
