Sometimes taking time out to “let go” can be like climbing Mt. Everest…a big challenge! However, that is just what you must consider doing if you want to hear the soft knock when inspiration comes calling on you.
I understand how difficult it can be, especially during challenging times to let go and allow inspiration to inspire your next move.
Deep breathing helps. Relaxing music helps. Stopping helps. Stopping is not always easy. However, who said easy is best? Consider “letting go” as an achievable goal. Framed in this way you may find yourself more inspired to stop, and listen.
When you take the time to stop and listen you may hear that soft knock of inspiration. You may get a small idea that turns into the exact right idea. You may receive a hunch leading you in a slightly new direction that is the exact right direction for you.
When opportunity comes knocking - be ready, willing and waiting to answer the door! Follow even the smallest of inspired ideas and watch your life take on new dimensions. Ask yourself these questions:
- “What do I need to learn right now?”
- “What is best for those I love and me right now?”
Then wait to hear your personal answer.
Make sure your resume, cover letter and other job search documents are not cookie cutter templates. It has never been more important for you to stand out from the crowd.
Bob and I wish you the best in your career search. Achieve on!
